The inception of Oro Acoustics occurred when Josh embarked on a project to construct an off-grid batch studio using recycled materials on his whenua at Hongoeka Pā. He reached out to his social media network to inquire about any off cut or scrap materials available from building sites before they get sent away into the landfil.
longtime friend, Tim, offered to have him visit his workshop to collect some offcuts from his custom set kitchen business on the Kapiti Coast where they both went to school together. Recognising that Tim possessed the necessary equipment to bring the panels to fruition, they spent a day to collaboratively refine and enhance Josh's design.
And the rest is history...
